REALTOR® FPCs: Making a difference for the real estate industry

These volunteers met with each of the state's congressional delegation in May as part of annual NAR meetings. FPCs Nykea Pippion-McGriff and Max Mitchell share why they are FPCs and why the role the program plays is so important.

The military presence means there is a constant influx of families transferred to the base, and that means REALTORS® have to make sure they know how to meet the special needs of this group of homebuyers and sellers. Getting to MIPIM: Attendees tell what you need to know

Illinois REALTORS® wrapped up its visit to Cannes, France, on Friday where members were taking part in the international MIPIM real estate conference.
Getting to France may seem daunting, but Marsha Collins-Mroz and Moses Hall said with advance planning it's possible to feel a lot more comfortable about making the cross-Atlantic journey. They shared tips on everything from booking flights early to what to do in case of a medical emergency.

What's it like to be a first-time attendee at MIPIM?

Illinois REALTOR® Maurice Hampton has attended all five years of the conference with the association, and he admits that it was overwhelming at first.
"People always say the first time they attend that it is so overwhelming," Hampton said. "That is the truth to the truth to the truth. ... When you get inside the Palais you realize just how important this conference is toi a lot of the real estate world."
Hampton discusses his tips for making the most of the experience, and how to get the most networking possible done during the four-day event.
